Make your reservation and check-in process go as smoothly as possible by taking a moment to read over our policies. If anything is unclear, or if you have questions that aren't covered here, simply call 877-600-4308.

Deposits

First night deposit required at time of booking. Change of plans? Cancel for free up to 72 hours prior to arrival. Cancellations made inside 72 hours of arrival are subject to a fee equal to 100% of the total deposit paid for the reservation. The balance for additional nights will be due upon check-in. Unapproved credit card charges will result in reservation cancellation.

Note that some special events and packages (e.g., snowmobile packages) require full pre-payment at the time of booking. Daily rates do not include applicable 8% lodging tax, 4% sales/resort tax, and $1 TBID (Tourism Business Improvement District) fee per room night.

Reservations and Fees

Must be age 18+ to make a reservation and check in.

Reservations may be made up to 365 days in advance. Rates are based on single or double occupancy. The rate will increase by $10, not including package components, per additional adult in the room. Children age 17 and under do not affect the rate.

You may book up to nine rooms online under the same name or address. Any additional rooms booked under that same name or address will be automatically canceled because a group contract is required to reserve 10 or more rooms. In that case, just call the Group Sales Department at 406-646-7365, ext 185.

Special requests are noted and maintained in the reservation system. However, specific room numbers or locations cannot be guaranteed.

A daily Amenity Fee of $15 per night will be added to all reservations from May 15 to October 1*. The Amenity Fee is not reflected in the deposit on your reservation. It will be charged upon arrival. Inquire at check-in if you have any questions. Click Here to learn more about the Amenity Fee.

*Please Note: Some services may be limited or unavailable due to thorough sanitation requirements and social distancing measures.

A daily $1.00 Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) fee will be charged during your stay at Explorer Cabins at Yellowstone, Gray Wolf Inn and Suites, Yellowstone Park Hotel, and Holiday Inn® West Yellowstone. The TBID collects funds annually to fund marketing efforts, support local events, and contribute to local "brick and mortar" projects.

The fees for Yellowstone National Park 7-day passes, which are not included in your room rate, are as follows:

  • $35 per private, non-commercial vehicle
  • $30 per motorcycle
  • $20 per visitor entering by foot, bicycle, skis or snowshoes

Yellowstone National Park annual passes are available for $70 and lifetime senior passes are available for $80 for guests over 62. Rates are subject to change. All rates are subject to applicable state and county taxes and resort fees, which may change without notice.

Pets

Dogs are permitted in designated pet-friendly rooms at the Explorer Cabins at Yellowstone, Gray Wolf Inn and Suites and Holiday Inn® West Yellowstone. Please see our pet policy for additional information.

Pet-Friendly Activities

Pets are not allowed on boardwalks, hiking trails, in the backcountry, or in thermal areas at Yellowstone, but there are plenty of activities just outside the park for you and your pup.

If you are planning on bringing your dog with you to the park, make sure to check out these regulations from NPS.

  1. Take a lap around Earthquake Lake.
  2. Go for a stroll through West Yellowstone. You'll find various pet-friendly coffee shops and retailers to visit.
  3. Hike Coffin Lakes Trail, a moderate hike with stunning views and stream crossings.
  4. Don't miss out on the popular Old Faithful geyser. Dogs are allowed on the sidewalks around the visitor center with a leash.
  5. Have a picnic at Yellowstone Lake and let your dog dip their paws in the chilly water.

Non-Smoking Areas

The state of Montana has designated all restaurants, bars and public restrooms as non-smoking areas.
